The Mississippi State University Research and Technology Corporation (RTC) is a not-for-profit company organized in 1998 for scientific, literary, charitable, and educational purposes. The corporation is designed to take advantage of opportunities not otherwise available to state universities (e.g. equity positions in start up companies, certain contractual agreements, etc). It also facilitates the development and incubation of start-up companies and/or expansion of companies that will improve the economic development of the region.
Inventions assigned to the RTC are subject to RTC’s Intellectual Property Policy.
